M'A LIGHT WEIGHT DENIM IS MADE OF WOOD PULP FROM FSC RENEWABLE SOURCES AND BIODEGRADABLE

Lyocell is a more environmentally friendly rayon manufacturing process than other similar fabrics such as modal and viscose.

“Lyocell” is the name of the fiber manufacturing process and this process uses a closed loop system that recycles almost all the chemicals used. Just like rayon and viscose, lyocell is 100% biodegradable.

HOW IS LYONCELL MADE?

The base of this fiber is wood. Once harvested, the wood is cut into pieces and ground into a pulp, dissolved by the amine oxide. What is left of this process is raw cellulose. The mixture is processed into bright white lyocell fibers. These fibers, after washing and drying, are ready to be processed into yarns and eventually made into fabric.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL AND LOOK LIKE?

Lyocell can have many different textures, but the basic fabric is soft to the touch. It is hypoallergenic and doesn’t cling. Lyocell is also 50% more absorbent than cotton.
